Healthy Homelife
During these times of quarantine and Coronavirus, citizens around the world are all trying to carry on their daily routines however they can. This includes working from home as well as finishing school from home. It is well known that one of the best ways to "flatten the curve" is to stay home to prevent the spread of disease, but the sudden routine change will leave a lot of people in uncharted territory especially when it comes to keeping a healthy lifestyle. We wanted to help out a little bit by sharing these tips and tricks for how you can stay healthy during your home quarantine.

Keep your home clean
If you must go outside for a grocery trip or for whatever reason it is very easy to track unwanted bacteria into your home. For this reason, you should try to keep your home as clean as possible. You should wash your hands with soap for at least 20 seconds whenever you return home. You should also wash your hands regularly throughout the day even if you are staying home. Another way to keep your home clean is to clean and disinfect and surfaces that high touch surfaces. These include doorknobs, toilets, and light switches as well as any other surface you may use a lot.

Working out
Since there are a lot of states that have mandated closures of public facilities like gyms, it may be hard to keep up a workout routine or even begin one. Lucky for you, there are things that you can do at home with little to no equipment necessary. A few examples of this are, going for walks around the neighborhood, watching online videos, performing bodyweight exercises, or even using apps on your phone that have daily workout routines.

Make a meal schedule

Most people have stocked up on their food and supplies, but they don’t have a schedule and just eat whenever they want. This can lead to overeating and going through supplies faster than you had planned. Having a scheduled mealtime can help stop this habit. It can also ensure a well-balanced diet and stop the temptation from ordering take-out which could lead to contaminating your home.

Take care of your mental health
It is important to stay up to date on what is happening in the world and to know the facts of the Coronavirus, but there are times where things can get a little overwhelming. This can lead to unnecessary stress and anxiety which can actually hurt you more. For this we suggest a few things. You should make sure you are getting enough sleep, try video calling friends and family, and, most important, give yourself a break from news and social media.

Stay Hydrated
One of the most important things on this list is to stay hydrated. Having enough water and fluid is a key part of keeping your body healthy and strong in order to fight off infection and viruses. There are some techniques you can use to ensure you are getting enough water such as, tracking fluid intake, drinking a glass of water before every meal, add some natural flavor to your water, and utilize a large reusable water bottle.
